Praise be to Allah; we praise Him, seek His forgiveness, and turn to Him in repentance. We seek refuge from Him from the evils of our souls and the evils of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomever Allah leads astray, none can guide.
I bear witness that there is no God but Allah alone without Partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is his servant and Messenger.
The idea to establish Al-Bayan Islamic Secondary School (science section) was conceived and ushered into academic lime light in 2010. There is no other reason that necessitated the establishment of Al-Bayan Islamic Secondary School other than the scanty numbers of standard Islamic Private Schools littered across the educational landscape in Plateau State. To the best of my knowledge, there are few Islamic Private Schools in Plateau State that can compete favorably in the provision of Islamic and secular education with best global practices in educational programmes. We feel we are under strong obligation to offer standard education within the reach of the entire Islamic Ummah in Jos and its environs. It is this foresight that gave birth to what is today known as Al-Bayan Islamic Secondary School.
The school took off full academic programmes with sixty students and seven staff strength. Like the crescent moon developing into a full-fledged moon, the school has recorded a landslide success through the meticulous assemblage of competent and discipline staff who have devoted every atom of their strength into the service of humanity. Today, we are grateful to Allah that the school has Forty-two staff strength and population of six hundred and fifty students. The school graduated her first gradaunts in 2016. Many of the students have since been granted access to university and other tertiary education courtesy of their outstanding performance in their SSCE examination. Worthy of recognition also, is that Al-Bayan is the only Islamic Private School in Plateau State that offers boarding system of education.
Our vision is to achieve academic excellence and Islamic values for students to succeed in this world and in the hereafter and also to provide our children an environment that will enable them to achieve their highest potentials founded on Islamic morals and ethics while our mission is to provide a challenging academic programmes in an Islamic environment and preparing the students for post-secondary school education while inculcating Islamic values in them.
Like every organization, we do face financial challenges in the face of economic recession but with Allah’s assistance, we are able to pursue our goals to their fulfilment with extra ordinary zeal. Today, I am glad to say that our goals have been achieved beyond seventy percent. I would like to spear a precious moment in thanking Allah the Almighty for his mercy and guidance in achieving our goals and objectives and to our teaming staff for investing their human resources in achieving our organizational goals. To be sincere, their efforts worth their weight in Gold.
Finally, I want to use this medium to call on parents and guidance to seek admission for their children in Al-Bayan Islamic Secondary School as every kobo spent will not go unrewarded. My gratitude goes to the school principal and other members of his management staff who have masterminded resounding success through their administrative doggedness and tenacity of purpose It is my prayer that Allah continue to guide us through the right path in the service to humanity.
