Education Philosophy

Albayan Islamic Secondary Schools education philosophy provides the educational administrators, Islamic Scholars and teachers with the right vision which guides them to attain the educational objectives needed for its students efficiently. we believe in creating a suitable and conducive Learning environment for our students to learn and strive in. It is our belief that, a combination of Islamic principles, theoretical and practical approach to teaching is one of the most efficient way of transmitting knowledge to our students, using a curriculum of high standard focused on Islamic, Art, and science-oriented subjects as a guide.
It is with this belief that we strive to make available classrooms for theoretical learning, and provide modern laboratory and social clubs for our students to practice what they have learned in class.
Students need to be able to excel in other areas of life such as leadership and sports, Social clubs and sport facilities available in the school serve as spaces to develop such skills. Excursion activities and competitions, both Internal and External are also organized to enable our students to show their skills and to discover their potentialities.

Curriculum

Curriculum as an Islamic and science oriented, full-fledged and government approved secondary school, ALBAYAN places a special emphasis on teaching of science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. ALBAYAN SCHOOLS applies the Nigerian education curriculum designed by the NEDRDC, which is compatible with an international oriented curriculum geared towards science. Details of the structure of education is listed below:

A Nursery school education of 2 years
A Primary school education of 6 years (Basic 1 to 6)
A Secondary school education of 6 years;
3 years of Junior Secondary education (Basic 7 to 9)
3 years of secondary school education where students have a choice between:
Science and Technology class
And Business and Humanities class
